Beacon area codes
In addition to transmitting a unique ID, each beacon can be configured to send a specific area code to the watch. These area codes represent different living spaces and can be used to report how much time a watch wearer is spending in different areas throughout the day.
Note
Beacon signals may overlap and can pass through thin walls, reducing the accuracy of reported area statistics.
The area codes include a special 'forbidden area' code for spaces where the watch wearer should not go, such as a storage room with hazardous cleaning chemicals.
Code | Area |
---|---|
00 | None |
01 | Living room |
02 | Bedroom |
03 | Kitchen |
04 | Bathroom |
05 | Entrance |
254 | Forbidden area |
Note
Beacon area code configuration is under development. Currently area codes are added by Navigil prior to shipment.
